Pubbing, Clubbing & Nightlife

In the immediate surroundings of Bugibba, there is certainly no lack of nightlife. The region boasts some of Malta’s most popular venues whatever you are into. In fact, the area is very popular for stag and hen parties.

Further afield Paceville, in the centre of the island, is another nightlife hotspot with a huge variety of the trendiest pubs, clubs and bars. Music is often commercial, although specialised venues play pop, rock, trance and even live music.

Sightseeing

Malta is packed with interesting places to visit and every day brings something new and exciting to do or explore.

The north, where the Primera Hotel is situated, is one of the most beautiful regions, boasting the island’s best beaches and some favourite sightseeing spots. Popeye Village, the film set of the Popeye movie starring Robin Williams is a must for families with young children, while Melieha is a popular beach-side town waiting to be explored.

Valletta, the island’s capital, is brimming with historical treasures including St John’s Co-Cathedral, the St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity and the Grand Harbour. Meanwhile, Sliema is Malta’s most popular shopping district and many of the world’s high-street and designer brands are available here.

A day trip to Gozo, Malta’s smaller and more tranquil sister island, is a must. Take the ferry from Circewwa (the Northern tip) and arrive at the port of Mgarr. There is plenty to see here including the world-famous Azure Window, the inland sea, the walled Citadella – which was built by the Knights of St John, and the mysterious Calypso’s cave.

Diving

Malta is the perfect spot for a diving holiday. The clear Mediterranean Sea surrounding the Maltese Islands is unspoilt and a haven for scuba divers keen to explore below the surface.

The warm, tide-free and practically non-current waters are pleasant and one can enjoy drop-offs, caves, sunken ships, tunnels, plentiful marine life, secluded grottos and the spectacular scenery for which the islands have become world famous. Lessons or support from several world-class dive schools is available, as transports on request. For more information contact the Reception Desk.
